Datara Joins United Nations Global Compact, Affirming Commitment to Sustainable and Ethical Growth
CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA — Datara, a global enterprise platform powering responsible data, AI, and automation, is proud to announce its official accession to the United Nations Global Compact—joining over 20,000 businesses worldwide in the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
This milestone reflects Datara’s deep commitment to aligning its strategy and operations with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, covering human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. It also marks a formal pledge to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovation, ethical governance, and cross-sector collaboration.
“We believe responsible technology is foundational to a sustainable future,” said Devon Solomon, CEO of Datara. “Joining the UN Global Compact is not only a reaffirmation of our values, but a call to action—one we embrace with urgency, integrity, and long-term ambition.”
Through its flagship platforms—Atlas CDP, Astra AI Workflow Automation, and Echo Advertising Intelligence—Datara enables financial institutions, telecoms, and governments to build smarter, more inclusive systems that protect individuals, reduce waste, and unlock new forms of value.
As a participant in the UN Global Compact, Datara will report annually on its progress through a Communication on Progress (CoP), ensuring transparency and accountability. This includes:
- A CEO-signed statement of continued support
- A detailed disclosure of progress on each of the Ten Principles
- An articulation of efforts to align operations with global sustainability outcomes
Datara’s membership further complements its SACCRA affiliation and ongoing investment in secure, privacy-first infrastructure in line with POPIA, GDPR, and global best practices.
“Our mission has always been to create trusted systems,” added Solomon. “By embedding global principles into the very architecture of our software and services, we aim to lead by example—and help our partners do the same.”
